Sue Hepler gave a "miscellaneous" hodgepodge of assorted computer tips with some interesting websites to explore.
Items discussed:
- How to set a home page
- Using tabs to navigate between webpages (click right mouse on a link and choose "open in a new tab" so it is easy to switch back and forth between sites.
- Use the F1 key to bring up the helps screen. Use the search box to find the answer to your question.
- Use the Print Preview option before trying to print a web page
- Pin a frequently visited site to the task bar
- by dragging the tab or add the site to your favorites bar by dragging the icon from the address box.
- Pin frequently used programs or items to the start menu by right clicking on them and choose "pin to start menu"
- Click on the star at upper right of browser and search through your history to review the sites visite
A representative from Best Buy will be at our meeting next Wednesday to discuss iPads, notebooks, smart phones, and external storage devices.
